Relationship Manager

The Relationship Manager (RM) is responsible for the proactive management of high to mid-level ISO office accounts via phone and e-mail communications. Working with an assigned book-of-business, the Relationship Manager will assist in the development of healthy/growing business relationships between Cynergy and multiple ISO offices.

As the liaison for the ISO, the RM will interface with all Cynergy departments to ensure that information and/or requests for assistance are addressed in an efficient and timely manner. To further enhance and educate the ISO’s knowledge of Cynergy products and services, the RM will provide education sessions with ISO offices and their sales support staff. This position is focused on the steady growth of the sales base.

The individual we seek for this role will need to enjoy working in a sales and service environment that moves at a fast pace.

Requirements:

  • Qualified candidates should demonstrate a minimum of four years Customer Service experience or experience in a customer-focused role within the Bankcard Industry.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) supported by strong computer skills with excellent attention to detail are a must.
  • An Associates Degree within a business discipline (or equivalent) is required.
  • The ability to multi-task and apply strong leadership and team building skills are essential.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are sought but are not a requirement.

Program Management Director

The Program Management Director reports to the COO and will be based in Long Island City, NY.  The successful candidate will be responsible for following all ongoing initiatives impacting the Operations organization and ensures initiatives are on target with project teams across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management and/or coordination of Operations programs and projects, assures effective interdepartmental communications and internal service company-wide, quality assurance and troubleshooting Operations issues/concerns/problems/activities.
  • Maintains record of estimated project duration, cost, and resource requirements across Operations ensuring that projects are completed on time and on budget.
  • Coordinates performance assessments and monitors the functional success of projects.
  • Manages project progression; coordinates activities across all departments to ensure proper delegation, training, documentation and support are in place through the life of projects.
  • Responsible for the prioritization decisions within all Operations projects.
  • Provides leadership, direction and motivation to team members involved in projects.
  • Reports project status to COO.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate previous experience running a project office or program office.
  • Must have payment industry experience, solid processor knowledge of TSYS/FDR/Paymentech, etc. 
  • Familiarity or member of MC/Visa associations. 
  • PMP certification desired, Six Sigma background or TPS experience and knowledge of tools. 
  • Ability to manage without a support staff
  • Position is based in Long Island City, NY – no relocation available.

Credit Underwriting Manager 

Cynergy Data provides the general merchant community an integrated suite of merchant payment processing services and related software enabling products. The Company delivers credit and debit card-based payments processing solutions to small and mid-sized merchants that operate in physical “brick and mortar” business environments or over the internet, and in settings that require wired as well as wireless mobile payment solutions. 
 
The Credit Underwriting Manager reports to the VP of Credit Underwriting and Risk Management and will be based in Long Island City, NY.  Responsibilities and Qualifications of the successful candidate include:    

Responsibilities: 

  • Direct the activities of the Underwriting team to assure timely and accurate completion of work, appropriate assignment of merchant applications and tasks and compliance with corporate objectives and standards
  • Work with internal and external ISOs to review & evaluate moderate and high risk merchant applications.
  • Determine the liquidity and financial strength of merchants through various financial data. 
  • Communicate with sponsoring banks, sales partners and merchants. Work directly with large existing and potential accounts to resolve questions.
  • Ensure all credit policies and procedures are fully documented and approved in accordance within standards/guidelines
  • Determine the liquidity and financial strength of merchants through various financial data.

Qualifications:

  • Experience analyzing and mitigating exposure within the bankcard industry
  • Experience maintaining card association compliance, rules, regulations, and procedures. 
  • Ability to assess credit reports, financial statements, bank statements, and other financial data to determine liquidity and financial strength of merchants. 
  • Knowledge of TSYS backend is a plus.

Account Executive - Alpharetta, GA, or Long Island City, NY:

The Account Executive position will be based in Alpharetta, GA, or Long Island City, NY and is responsible for managing and growing the overall relationship with key senior level decision makers and influencers at assigned clients to create customer loyalty and increase revenues.

Relationship Management:

  • Conducts regular status and strategy meetings and serves as an industry expert; including communicating relevant industry trends and best practices to clients that ultimately create demand for our products and services.

  • Effectively and routinely delivers key company messages.

  • Serves as the client advocate internally to direct resources and activities within the company organization.  Effectively communicates the “voice of the customer” across various function areas.                   

Growing the Business:

  • Creates division account plans that will set strategic direction, up-tier relationships within client accounts, and drive the business; collaborates and provides input on Enterprise plans where applicable.

  • Responsible for proactively conducting analysis of clients’ business metrics and research to optimize product activity that will drive value for our external customers.
  • Conducts account reviews for internal executive management against account plan progress.

  • Requires effective forecasting and budgeting of key metrics for assigned customer accounts.

  • Responsible for identifying and capitalizing on expansion opportunities within existing accounts and up-selling products/services in collaboration with the sales team. 

  • Drives and manages contract renewal process for client contracts and maximizes return for the company.

Skills/Experiences Required:

  • Typically interfaces with senior management or executives and requires minimal supervision and direction.

  • Must have proven track record in attaining/exceeding quota based metrics.
  • Strategic account planning experience.

  • Demonstrated effective communication skills that include internal communication of client opportunities, issues, escalations and external communication that includes key company messages.
  • Leadership and management skills coupled with strong business acumen. Ability to lead teams based in other locations.

  • Strong presentation and project management skills

Requires a minimum of 7-10 years of sales or account management experience in a business-to-business environment; with 2-3 years of experience in the financial services industry.

30-40% travel.

Customer Service Representative:

We are currently seeking a talented individual with prior experience working a fast paced call center environment that enjoys responding to a broad range of customer service inquiries. As an addition to our Customer Service Team, you will provide assistance by addressing the needs of our merchants and Independent Sales Organizations (ISOs). As a CSR, you will promote an understanding of monthly statements, resolve billing problems, track missing deposits, order supplies, refund overcharges and ensure that all account information on file is recorded accurately.

Candidates must be available to work a night shift and have prior work experience within a call center environment. Bilingual Spanish skills desired but not required.
